CB Radio help/info

I just picked up 2 cb radios for a really good price. One is a Cobra 21 with 23 channels and the other is a Kraco kcb-4007. I know almost nothing about cb's, but my girlfriend wants one for her Burb. Can anyone tell me anything about the two radios I have? Thanks.

Re: CB Radio help/info

the cobra is a better radio then kraco in my book but 23 channels went out years ago. all depends on what you want in an radio, just something to find out bout the bears or popos as they now call them then thats good. but there alot of filthy langauge out there now. especially on 19.but if your looking or she is looking to talk skip then a radio with upper and lower channels is what your looking for. i know people will tell you that you can't talk on those channels but they deregulated cbs a long time ago. so don't worry bout that. but make sure you get a good antenna and coax and make sure that you have a good ground system for the antenna and make sure that your swr's are the lowest that you can get them on your antenna.gaxaly, connexs, cobra, etc are all good radio's they are all made by ranger electronics now adays,
