Re: brake switch?
Hook the purple wire to the "to PCM" terminal of the brake switch.

Re: brake switch?
my truck already has a 4 pin switch, but I changed it to the new one anyway...it already has four wires hooked up to it, so do I just tie into that last wire?

The Pink wire will be the Ignition Hot...Leave it alone, Cut & splice onto the other wire. The polarity doesnt matter. |

Edit: as I was posting this, I remembered your truck isn't a 67-72. Some of the later trucks have a mechanical neutral safety switch, meaning that the key won't physically turn in any gear but park and neutral, it doesn't cut the electrical power to the starter solenoid. If this is how your column is, it will have a switch on the column, 2 wires will be for the back up lights, if it has another set, you could use them for your park/neutral switch. You'll have to check to be sure that they work that way on your year of truck, but I know that S-10's from at least '87-'94 are this way.
