87 K5 4x4 frame under a 67-72 swb?!
I found a 87 K5 for $700obo that runs with no title. Will a 67-72 body fit on it without a crap ton of work? I'm curious lol. The 67-72 frame is harder to come by and I'd want the newer 73-87 stuff too.

Re: 87 K5 4x4 frame under a 67-72 swb?!
The '73-up K/5 frame is shorter than a 67-72 SWB,so the frame will need stretched. '73-up C/K frames are longer in front of the cab so the radiator core support needs to be relocated back and the front frame horns cut/modified. The front axle/wheels will sit forward a touch in the opening. With a lift it's not so bad,but some are bothered by that. A zero-rate spring has an offset to correct that. Moving the core support are modifying the frame up front is no big deal. The main thing to consider is stretching the frame. Not really a big deal, either, but that's the biggest thing.Of course, the rear driveshaft will need lengthening, too.
