Fuel filter is clean?
Base gasket fine? Is is vacuum or manual secondary? Are vacuum lines good, mechanical linkages free?

Is it bogging down to the point that it stalls out, like it's flooded from fuel and trouble restarting unless the gas pedal is held wide open?

fuel filter looks clean
Base gasket looks fine( they put a new one on when they rebuilt it vacuum or manual secondary not to sure about that? When im going to 20-30 it will yank like forward and back and will lose power if i keep my foot on it it will die i have to take my foot off and let it slow to like 10mph it wont let me go over 30 mph so i have to use the side streets |

Re: My truck is bogging out? need help!!!
My 1986 use to do something similar. Thought it was fuel pump....until I replaced the motor I FINALLY realized it was fuel line going into fuel pump....it was old and getting kinked....sounds dumb but it's helped several people having the same problem. Worth a quick look.

Re: My truck is bogging out? need help!!!
safer to do it on a cool block
line pump to carb should have pressure watch for it if that line is ok to reuse, just blow it out I use FI clamps, they don't chew the rubber line up and make sure it's fuel hose!!!

Something else you might want to check is your coil and coil wire . When thy start to break down they act like a fuel problem. I've had it happen to me before, drove me crazy till I found the problem . Hope this helps. Gord

Other than the fuel system, If you are running a cat converter they can stop up and cause a heap of problems too. I too would start at the fuel system and make sure that's ok first.
