Help identifing this part please...
Can you tell me what this small canister looking item is in the line that runs between
my brake booster and manifold? I believe the previous owner must have installed it. Thanks for the help! Bob |

Here's a link to a previous thread. It is a filter used on later GM cars and trucks. I think mid-70s until maybe sometime in the 80s.

I'll cut the hose so it fits close to the manifold and maybe the breather will hide it. If not I'll ditch it! Bob |

Aftermarket one-way valve to replace the stock one-way valve on the booster!

It's not a filter, It's a vacuum check valve that GM started installing in the mid/late 70's. It lets the booster hold a vacuum a little longer if the engine quits or is shut off.
