Back to a Manual.
Let's start with a little background Information. I picked up this 85 K10 a while ago. It had a D44 front axle and a corporate 10 rear. Someone had taken out the SM465 and put a TH350 with an NP203 in it. I've since replaced the Front and rear axles with a full float corporate 14 and a big spindle D44 out of a 77. I was able to find a Late Model NP205 with the round 6 mounting pattern, and a buddy was parting out a 93 Chevy 2500, and I got his NV4500 and bellhousing. My 85 used mechanical clutch linkage. I'm debating buying the mechanical bellhousing adapter from AA, or using the bellhousing that came with the transmission. It has a Passenger side slave, but my truck is lifted 4" so I don't see there being much of a problem there? If I go that route do, can I use a clutch master off an 86? or do I need to go to a matching master off a 93? If I have to swap pedal assemblies an 86 swap seems like it would be much easier. Trying to keep the cost down now, but not willing to sacrifice functionability for a few bucks. Let me know what you guys think and open to ideas.
