Does anyone out there know if the Chevs pick up 3100 and 3800 doors are interchangeable?

As long as its a conventional cab they are on the TF and maybe on the AD.

What are you working on ?

Found a 3800 with excellent sheet metal and am working on a 49 PU

Everything changes over as long as it is a standard cab. There may be an issue if you swap between doors with turn down handles and doors with push button handles but I can't remember what that is unless the latch works a bit different.

Checking page 14 in the current online LMC catalog http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/ca/full.aspx?Page=14 47/51 use one striker plate while 52/55 use a different striker plate.

That's the only issue I know of on these.

If I remember right from 48 to 55 1/2 there are 3 styles of doors.48to51 have one piece glass with turn down handles.51 has the the 2 piece glass with turn down door handles.
52 to 55AD have 2 piece glass and push button door handles. All interchange.
What MR48 said is correct the difference is on the inside.The turn down latch is different than the push botton.The glass tracks are also different.The one piece glass uses a wider channel.
