6.0 LQ4 Drive by cable

Im getting ready to install the 6.0 engine into the 71 and just realized its a drive by cable. To be honest, I never payed much attention as I was planning to do a carbed set-up at the time. But after month's of reading, I realized I'd be a fool to not run the fuel injection. Unfortuanetly I wasn't aware that I needed the gas pedal and tac module when I got the engine.

Has anyone just used the stock pedal assembly? I realize the drive by wire is an easier set-up for cruise control, but cruise is not that important at this time, and I dont want to change intakes.

Any help appreciated

You can use a cable actuated throttle but you have to change the t-body. If you keep the drive by wire you have to get the electronic pedal. There is also a short dedicated wire harness that goes from the pedal to the electronic t-body.

If you keep the drive by wire, you have cruise control built into the tac module and all that would be missing is the cruise wiring. That would be a plus
