All 67-72 will interchange. the cherry pair are the ones pictured. 67's take a back plate for exterior handles... that is it.

Re: 67 doors CHERRY

Nothing against your parts Sir, its just been in my experiances with pin holes like that are that the metal is very thin in those areas from rust forming from the inside out. They may look fairly solid but push on that area with a screwdriver and youll go right through, any patching will have to go back a long ways to find good solid weldable metal. Again not knocking your doors as I'm not there to see them for myself.

my blaster runs at 145 psi... we could all pound a door for hours with ball ping hammer and/or screwdriver and not get the fact straight as a pressurized blaster will. The weakest link has been identified and if need be I will weld the pinholes, grind and blast again to show durability. I know my body panels and especially doors.

Duane, did you ever come up with a good driver door to match the passenger one I got from you last fall?

I have a really super driver but I can not identify if it is a repop or well preserved original. I got it from a stash at body shop and it has been painted so it is like brand new. I will post pics here. If anyone could help me identify it that would be great.

Yeah.. I figured someone would ask that.. I just got lazy because the blaster ran out and I know the other door is solid as well. I will get pics up.

Re: 67 doors CHERRY

this is not a big deal at all. As you can see there is NO CANCEROUS RUST hiding underneath this corner. It is all clean and weldable sheet metal. I got heavier grit and put these doors to work.. And beat them like they stole something. POR-15, tad weld, or some seam sealer will make these puppies clean up 100%.

As mentioned before I can weld the pinhole or all no prob. I will take internal pics as well. This is the ONLY issues whatsoever. I blast cast Iron, aluminum, and steel quite frequently now. This metal is all solid.

Well as we all know..it is rather difficult to find a pair of 67 doors...esp. in this shape.. Let me mull it over.. I can do some the repair work if need be. But that will honestly make me more partial to them.

Re: 67 doors CHERRY

on the white one, take a close pic where the A pillar enters the door... My guess is that if there is a nice big weld then they are original, we noticed on "some" repops that they didn't weld them. I might be interested if original but you should post a new ad for the white door just to keep this thread clean...

Hey thanks buddy. Also I just posted the pic for Stovebolt as he asked about a matching driver for a pass. door he purchased from me previously. If I am tempted to sell it I will def. post in separate thread. Thanks

Re: 67 doors CHERRY

that weld would be on the front face where the A pillar hoop goes into the door, just above the upper hinge (as in the part that would be against the truck A pillar and hidden from the inside or out when closed).

Let me know if you post it. I'm interested in a clean driver door as well.

Well let me know how you feel and would you have a business address to ship to? Or I can check for a local freight terminal whichever carrier runs cheapest. Usually within reasonable distance. 30 mintues or so.
