Edelbrock 1406 and Cruise control
I've done a lot of searching and its turning up no definite answers. Is there a way to adapt the stock cruise control to a 1406 carb?
Here is a pic of the stock setup. I'm not even sure how the stock cruise works so i'm not sure what it would take to get it adapted. |

Re: Edelbrock 1406 and Cruise control
In a nutshell the actuator that's connected the linkage, uses a vacuum (provided and regulated by other devices) to hold the throttle position. To adapt to a edelbrock 1406, all you really need is the Edelbrock 1484 cruise control kit, which connects to the edelbrock linkage and allows the factory gm cruise linkage to connect.

Thanks man. Think that will work along with the piece I have to put on for the throttle and tv cable linkage.
