51 frame choice
first time builder of a 51 chevy truck, want to know if i build the original frame with a v8 or do the s10 swap. wife tell me on a hard budget, but looking to lower it and power steerig and brakes. HELP

Just my 2 cents worth but if your stock frame is in good shape I would keep it and do a IFS set up up front and a S10 rear end swap.It would take less fabrication work to, and crossmember kits are available for your engine and transmission choices. I'm building mine on an S10 frame due to budget (and parts are easier to find and cheaper), but I got a 94 xcab S10 and I'm in the process of shortening it. If you want one that needs just minor mods then look of a squarebody early 90's late 80's S10 single cab/LWB. Hope this helps!
