More Lowering Questions
Is it possible to drop your truck 3.5 or 4 in the front and 5 or 6 in the rear with just drop coil springs? Do they make front drop springs in 3.5 or 4 and if so where can i find them. Thanks

Re: More Lowering Questions
You have to use drop spindles in conjunction with the drop springs in front. A 4" drop spring would be so short that the upper control arm would probably be riding on the bump stop or close to it and I don't think you would care much for the rough ride. The rear is no problem but at 5" or 6" you need to C notch the frame, add an adjustable track bar and relocate the upper shock mounts.

Re: More Lowering Questions
Hotchkis sells has a 4"/6" drop kit that uses just springs. They are well respected in the suspension market and claim the truck can be aligned with then 4" spring. You do have to run the drop shocks to make it work correctly. Like TopFuel1966 said, an adjustable trac arm, c-notch and adjustable trac arm are a good idea.
You probably can get by without the adjustable trac bar, until you are ready to purchase, if not at the same time. http://www.azproperformance.com/Hotc...390-19392.html |
