So here's what i got 76 k10 350 .030 over 400/208 trans setup for 44's minus crossover steering. Now what i want to do is move up to bigger tires and was looking for some info on setting up the suspension make clearance to fit tires that are 5ft tall and roughly 2ft wide. Trying to do it cheaply and safely sense the most i got in it truck and tires is $200.

not possible with sawz-all would have to cut too deep in cab and would cause problems with the steering wheel

5 foot tall tires and cheap lift really don't go together. Plus the 1/2 ton axles will snap at the sight of those tires. Just by the size of tires alone you are stepping into monster truck territory. Factor in the lift required to pull those tires off and you got one giant ill-handling off road rig, unless your version of off road is in football stadiums.

To even remotely make those tires work you'll need 2 1/2 ton military axles and some seriously arched leaf springs. The better option would be changing to a four-link and coil-over shocks. Then hydro steering and a center drop (monster truck style) t-case. None of that is anywhere close to "cheap".

44's on half ton axles almost as silly and not safe due to the highly probable breakage due to the giant tires.

You know 5 foot tall would be a 60 inch tire do they even make one that big?I'm shocked it still drives on 44s with out breaking a axle or is it a mall crawler?

Definitely a mall-crawler if it still has half-ton running gear.

Nothing cheap about 5' tall tires. The cheapest thing to do is buy a duece and a quarter and marry your trucks body with that frame. Are you building a swamp truck? I built a mud bog truck combining 2 1/4t parts on a '71 GMC with 44s

The reason i named it cheap was for how i got the truck, knew stock axles was gonna have to go and far as the truck running 44's on stock axles besides the regearing been fine in the mud. Far as use after mods just something to play with on the property behind the house. I do have an old m-37 truck i can use for parts. The 60" tire would be my 18.4-34 tractor tire full set of 4 with rims 3/4 tread all free. So what is needed to build a four link?

Tractor tires you need rockwell 2 and a half tons anything else will be a ticking time bomb.Most just take a old deuce and half and put a truck body on the frame,Or run the rockwells on leaf springs on a 1ton truck frame boxed fully.But both ways i dont see being done cheap at all.
