Re: Vanity plate idea's for a C10

Went through this on my '78. Spent months (off and on) doing checks.

Was in the garage working on the truck one day, and a song by Chicago came on. "Old days, good times I remember..." But it sounds like they are saying "Oldies"

A quick check, and "Oldies" was available. Snagged it, had it ever since!

It was the title of George Lucas' first film.......it was also the plate number in American Graffiti.........I think there was another reference somewhere else in another Lucas film but I can't remember what it is.

YESSSS!!!! Nicely done. Little known fact, apparently, that he always tried to stuff those letters/numbers in his movies somehow.... I'm impressed!

It was the license plate number on one of the cars from American Graffiti. It was one of George Lucas' first sci-fi films.

Re: Vanity plate idea's for a C10

In Arizona they have a YOM (Year of Make) program where if you can find cleared plates for the year of the truck you can use them. That's what I did and I get more comments on them, than any vanity plate I ever had.

Re: Vanity plate idea's for a C10

I would like to have a custom plate on my truck. But in Kansas you can't have a custom plate if you have an Antique tag. But....for $17.00 a year and no mileage restrictions, i think i can live with it! Joseph

This may have changed, I ordered a custom ks antique tag last week. 17 dollars gets you the normal tag but another 45? I think will get you the custom if you want. I went with 72chev
