what lb rear coilover spring are you guys using on your ad trucks

I had a hard time getting an answer on that. I am starting with 250 pounds per inch on my 52 GMC. I am going to run a gas tank in back sooo we will see. I should have all the parts made in the next two weeks.

My shocks from Aldan/Flat-out just came, and looks like 450's for the rears. Unless they had a mix up. They were dropped shipped. I went with the 'recommendation.'

I've pinged Don at Flat-out for clarification just in case. I'll post back what I hear.

wow 2 X 450 that's 900 pounds per inch! sounds stiff even for the front.

i was told the same thing by fab quest

that sounds more like it! Then maybe I will be ok with the extra wieght of the gas tank behind the rear end.

Indeed, something seems 'off' Aldan's site lists much lower rates for street rods and such.

I am running 250 lb in the rear of a 59 with fleetside bed, steel floor and rear tank. They ride very nice. Not an AD but probably similar in weight
