Where and how should I mount my plug wires? Above the headers or under the headers?

i guess above with headers, it can look real nice if you do it properly, i have ram horns though so i go underneath. it all depends i suppose

Mine are above the headers. Get some nice wire looms and it looks good IMO...

i had to route mine above. it looks a little sloppy but i didn't want to get a universal set to get it perfect

I bought under header plug wires and ran them on top with a nice set of wire looms. Worked perfect and had plenty of wire to make it look nice.

here are a few pics of my above the headers looms the looms are made by moroso and cost like 15 bucks and in my opinion are great i use taylor wires which are cut to fit which makes it nicer

On my engine, you can kinda see it in my avatar. But I used wire looms that bolt to the valve cover bolts and run alongside the valve cover. You can find a loom almost exactly like mine here: http://www.gmgoodwrench.com/gmgoodwr...4&sku=12342031 also, see the pic attached. But for the plug wires, I went with a set of 8.8mm Accel Supersport wires, but got a universal HEI V8 kit. That way I can run the wires as I want them and trim them to the correct length and keep everything nice and neat and tidy.

Stock replacement Taylor Spiro Pros routed in stock fashion. I used Made For You looms designed for vertical valve cover mounting and attached them to the oil pan rails. Valve covers can be removed without disturbing the wires and they are much better protected from the headers or manifolds.

before the swap mine went under/below the ramshorn....with the new big block they are above.....502 came with wire looms...Chevelle is below..no room above...

On my truck there is no way I could run the wires under the headers, not enough room. You can make the wires look presentable if you use a nice loom like the one that mounts to the valve covers. You can cut donw on the excess wire by using a set of build your own wires.
