Wheels fit??

I found a nice set of wheels and wasn't sure if they will tuck. I have a 71 fleetside that I'm bagging. I have tubular uppers and lowers in the front that are suppose to bring the wheels in 1".
The wheels that I want to get are 20x8.5 and they come in either 0 or +10 offset.
I think they'll fit in the front but not sure about the rear and just wanted other opinions before I buy them.
Thanks

Re: Wheels fit??

I would get the 0 offset. The 0 offset push them out .5" from what is normally used, but you have 1" narrower arms, so it will bring the wheel to be .5" further in than normal. If that makes sense.

On the rear, definitely 0 offset, so that it doesn't looked too far in. The 0 offset on the 8.5 might have that look, but the +10 will just make it even more so.

Re: Wheels fit??

Everything is "just a guess" in your case.
Did the a-arms bring the wheels in 1/2" per side or 1" per side?
Did you verify that or just take their word for it?

The only real answer is the tape measure.
Your 20x8.5 wheels will actually measure 9.5" wide from the outside lip to outside lip.
Set your front on jackstands.
Remove one wheel.
Air out the front.

Get out a tape measure and place a straight edge on the face of the rotor.
Measure 10"-11" from the center of the rotor.
(this will give you an approx. rim diameter)
Measuring is the only way to verify what you have.

If you had stock arms on a stock crossmember,... my answer would be different.

Here's a great offset vs. backspace chart:
