1963 Chevy C10/ build what I can afford
I inherited this 1963 chevy C10 from my late father, It was going to be a father/son project that has now turned into a father tribute project.
Plans are to repair al of the rust and repaint omaha orange with a white top Repaint the interior fawn (or somthing close). repaint the chassis black, new lower control arms (thanks to a very generous fellow member). Currently it has a rebuilt 305/sm420 combo and a 60-62 rear axle that I havent decided if I am going to swap out to a 63-72 rear axle. I have already swaped out the 60 chevy hood for my favoright GMC style hood. I am going to retain the 4 wheel drums for now till cash becomes avalable as well as the manual steering (builds muscles I have been told) |

The truck is turning into an onion, the more layers I peal off the better its is?
The core support pictures are out of order I wanted to show a before and after as I had to weld the thing back together because it was broken into four pieces. |

I can't believe someone just brazed more sheetmetal ontop of the doors and fenders
Looks like you've made some good progress. Did you get those front fender patch pieces from Tabco? Looks like they fit pretty good.

Re: 1963 Chevy C10/ build what I can afford
Great looking project and work. Was the rearend swapped at some point? Odd that it has a 10 bolt rear in a 63 and not the standard 12 bolt. That rearend was used on the 60-62 w/torsion bar frames. Nice progress on getting down to solid metal...keep the pics coming
