'67 c20
Good Morning Everyone,
I am just getting started on 1967 Chevy C20 longbed 327 w/ 4spd. My grandfather bought the truck brand new in '67 (camper special) and she's been in the family ever since. I am rebuilding the 327 this week and since the engine is out I was wondering a few things. I would love to switch that granny geared 4 speed for a 5 or 6 speed, but I'm not totally sure what would bolt up to the engine. I am also considering changing out the 4.10 gears to 3.73 gears in hopes of the freeway no longer being my enemy. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks Mike |

Re: '67 c20
welcome to the board the truck looks good , you should be able to find your rears right here on the forum, a 5 or 6 speed should also be an easy swap

Re: '67 c20
In my travels I have come across a 94 Chevy 2500 4x4 with a 350tbi & an NV4500 for cheap. I have my sights set on a 383tbi setup but the 4x4 to 2x4 conversion is new to me. How difficult would it be to convert the 4x4 trans to a 2x4?

Should have some more on tonight. We pulled the engine last night and are targeting the trans, driveline & bed tonight.
