4 barrel inline six done!

I managed to get the clifford manifold and Holley 4 barrel on my 292 on a long weekend. I have a throttle cable from the firewall. I had to fabricate the brackets, my first attempt at any metal fab really. Long tube headers also went on. I have the headers going into a single 2.5 inch exhaust with a glasspack for now. Eventually I'll do duels. last month I put on all new hoses and gaskets on valve cover and rod inspection ports. Soon I will be taking it in for the 700r4 then I will be selling my DD and this will take its place. I am pumped!!

Also, man was I sore after working on this thing for 3 days....I must be getting old

So far so good. I used Remflex gaskets on the advice of a friend who does custom exhausts. It definitely has more giddyup!

Re: 4 barrel inline six done!

Good looking setup. Now you need to make a steel line to replace that rubber fuel line.
That's a fire waiting to happen!!

Yeah I've been looking at that. I'm thinking about moving the filter to the other side of the engine and at least having a heat resistant cover for the hose. It is a similar setup to what it had before but I would be more confident with a different setup.

Re: 4 barrel inline six done!

I've always thought a 4 barrel six with headers was one of the most desirable engines available. Looks as cool as the truck it's sitting in. Glad you're happy with the results after all the hard work.
