bellcrank problems

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a '66 that had a 250 which cracked so had to be replaced. I found a 250 from an '81 cheap so I picked it up. The new motor has the integrated head with two exit ports in the exhaust manifold. The front pipe is a "Y" toward the rear of the engine. The front pipe blocks the mounting point for the engine-side bellcrank bracket that was used with the original motor.

Does anyone know how to mount the bellcrank with a later model 250 as described. Surely, some of the later model trucks had 3 spd manual transmissions.

Anyone have a pic of one mounted?

I may have to fabricate one, but would rather use an oem part if available. And, I will be giving the truck to my brother-in-law when it is roadworthy again so I would rather not put a bundle of cash into it.

Any suggestions?

BTW, I searched the forums quite well and found nothing close to this scenerio. Thanks for your help.
