Custom Autosound radio dimmer?
I bought one of the Custom Auto Sound radios from LMC Truck.
Looks good enough in the truck except the display. It's a bright green digital display when the radio is on and it can't be dimmed (at least I can't find anything in the instructions for it). I emailed the company about it last night. Does anyone have the same/similar radio? Can it be dimmed? I'm going to put a piece of Gorilla tape over it for now.

If worst comes to worse you can color the lens in with a black Sharpie. It won't black it out completely. That's what I do with my computer stuff.

Re: Custom Autosound radio dimmer?
I could be wrong but I remmber there was a illumination wire (I think it was orange) in one I installed and I just pluged it into the fuse box and it would work with the dash light dimmer. I sold the truck that had that radio but I can test him and ask him to send me a pic.

Thanks for checking, zellway. Appreciate the effort. Quote:
I was out earlier and I thought about something similar. I was thinking of getting my detail shop to cut a little strip of tint and put it over the display. Thanks for the idea.

Re: Custom Autosound radio dimmer?
Maybe you can attach some tinted plastic to mute the brightness ...
