1970 C10 control arm question

Hey guys, I just picked up a 1970 C10 SWB stepside, I was checking it all over this weekend and i found that one of the caps on my lower control arm shafts is broken and the shaft was sitting in there sideways.

i ordered the shaft kit and went to change it today (with hopes of driving it tonight) and of course with my luck the shaft has ruined the control arm

the hole in the control arm were the shaft sits is completely oblong and has been chewed up by the shaft

so all in all im in need of a control arm, ive looked and searched everywhere as to which control arms are interchangable and cant find any, there is no listing in my small town for control arms at any parts store. and no 67-72's in the yards.

so the long and short of this is: which control arms are the same as my 1970 2wd c10

i want to retain everything the way it is, its all original with drums but for simplicity sakes i want to leave it alone until i can save for a good disk conversion

im hoping to hear 73-86 are the same

This is the lower control arm by the way

Re: 1970 C10 control arm question

I'm thinking maybe go over to the classifieds and pm one of them guys that sell these parts. There's a few of them that have every part you would ever need. Or pay $15 to become a premium member and advertise WTB in the classifieds. Another thought is to see if the part numbers are interchangable at LMC truck parts.

Re: 1970 C10 control arm question

So LMC shows the same pt number for the 2wd front end, does anyone know if the 4x4 versions or the 3/4 ton are different
