Some seat help 72 C/10

I have been trying to find a junkyard set of bucket seats with shoulder and lap belts and console to put in my 72 C/10. One guy suggested 2005 Silverado and up. Has anyone done this swap and can you point me in the right direction-thanks

Re: Some seat help 72 C/10

actually the years they are talking of are 99 up to the 07 model. A lot of people have put them in and are happy with them ,they do have seat belts built in and the upper trim level ones have a fold down console and they are pretty comfortable. The drawback is that if you are a little larger than most it will be a tight fit in there. A tilt steering column will help a "shortnened" tilt will help a bunch. I am larger than the average bear and those seats just don't work for me at all. I am 6.3 and go in at 380plus but I am big boned. I think Wes has made some brackets to mount on the bottoms of the seats of the 88-98 chevy trucks and they bolt on the floor of the 67-72 c truck . they set low enough that they look pretty good. the seats out of a square73-87 will go in and set REALLY low so it is just in what you want but the 99 and up will do if you are small enough to get under the wheel, but plenty are

I had the same issue as hugger. IMO the seats are just to big for the cabs and don't look right to me. They are comfortable however. By the time you get them cut down to fit you could have put in factory buckets with new seat belt hook ups.

Thanks for the heads up hugger. Not being particularly svelte myself room can be an issue. Who is this Wes guy and the brackets to mount later model seats "way down low" ?
