Dads new truck... " Shrek "

So my dad just bough this truck today. The paint is something else to say the least. Here are the specs

67 Stepside shortbed

Small Window

Power Steering

Power brakes

5 lugs all around

Disc brakes upfront

250 inline six / 5 speed

Paid $2500.

So all in all I really like this truck, it will make a great companion to my 68 Fleetside shortbed. When he brought it home this morning it had some huge ugly tires, so we had to fix that right away. I had some American Racing Hopsters laying around and we put those on there, 17's in the back, 15's up front. Also I had a pair of 67-68 Chrome side view miror and that replaced the original ones that were painted green too LOL. ( Still have to make the holes for the right side. ) Put the a Chevy bow tie in the front grill that I had laying around .

Now for the Disc up fronts, I am not sure if the PO put them from a a 71-72 , or 73-87, he does not know as the previous owner did it. The owner rebuilt the engine a few years ago and the engine bay is really clean , but we are having problems with the carb , more than likely needs a rebuild .

and last but not least. The guy says it has a 5 speed + reverse ? What manual tranny did these trucks come with or what 5 speed could fit on these 250s ?

Here are some pics.

When it came home this morning.

Not a fan of the new wheels but a HUGE improvement over the ones that were on it. Would be a perfect truck for some fake patina and a shop logo.

Nice truck! The new wheels really changed the look for the better As far as the 5speed goes, it is not factory.

This is probably a long shot, but i just got these shots of the tranny, I cannot raise it up at the moment to inspet it closer or look at any serial numbers. Any chance you guys know what type of tranny this is just by profile ? Looks to be

1 3 5

2 4 R
