Hybrid parking?
Went to the grocery store and there was no parking except for the ones right in front that say hybrid parking only. WTF! Why do they get special parking ! I thought it was kinda funny!

Re: Hybrid parking?
Maybe those spots have plug in provisions to charge the batteries?

Re: Hybrid parking?
same deal when I lived in DC, hybrids could ride on the hov lane with no passengers while the rest of us solo gas guzzling drivers needed a blow-up doll to avoid snoopy trooppers...

Re: Hybrid parking?
we had a similar thread on another forum I'm on. General consensus was that no one cared and they parked there anyway haha. They don't have any places like that near me though

Re: Hybrid parking?
I doubt that they can legally enforce it anyways...

Re: Hybrid parking?
IIRC they can't necessarily give you a "ticket" like law enforcement, but they can ask you to leave the premises since it is their rule, and if you don't THEN you can get into trouble. Not 100% on that one, but that's what another member posted.

My truck is a hybrid... burns gas and rubber.
And I still park way out in the boondocks...

Re: Hybrid parking?
I usually park way away from the store entrance anyway and let the fat bastards park up front. I'm a big boy so a little extra walking is a good thing.

Re: Hybrid parking?
i never fight for the closest spot, im 20 years old, i dont need to. but i would be temped to park in a hybrid spot. and like others have said, my truck is a hybrid, its made up off tons of different squares and it has a engine from a 71 truck. it even runs on two different fuels, gasoline and engine oil.
why do hybrid people need their own parking spots? as if they were't smug enough already

Re: Hybrid parking?
I never park in a handicapped spot, usually just park way out somewhere but I'm licking my chops waiting for a chance to park in a hybrid spot. I might even make a "Hybrid" decal and put it on ! Or just scrawl " Hybrid" in the dirt with my finger.
