Cigarette lighter delete. Can i find one?

When i got my truck it had the plug where the lighter goes but when i tore it down i misplaced it. Anyone have any idea where to find one that will work? Looked on ebay already. No luck.

Re: Cigarette lighter delete. Can i find one?

I have been asked to open this for a while. As long as it does not turn into a wtb and remains a what source may have, it should be ok.

I am not in disagreement with fine69 or his handling of this. More times then not these turn bad quick. I am just giving a chance that was asked of us. I hope you find what you are looking for.

If you're wanting an original plug, the parts board may be the best bet. I know of a guy that might have one. PM me for his phone #. Something I've seen before though, is the chrome and plastic furniture plugs you can get at Lowes.

I'm not sure of the size of the lighter hole, but would a knockout plug from an electrical box work as well? Most are zinc plated steel that could easily be polished or painted.

Re: Cigarette lighter delete. Can i find one?

would be kinda cool and useful to wire in a power inverter plug where the cigarette lighter used to be.

BADPURPLE70CHEVY ...

I would agree with above... Keep an eye on our parts forums and ebay.
Best of luck

Disclaimer: I don't want to be a rule breaker and I don't know a thing about this company. I added the link for visual reference only. I've used plugs like this in the past and they look nice. If this post needs to go to the cornfield send it on.

Re: Cigarette lighter delete. Can i find one?

Would I be able to mail one in a normal 3X5 envelope? I may have one you can have...If I can find it.

I don't think so. The delete measures 1/2" thick so you would have to find a small padded envelope to mail it in. It shouldn't cost more than a $1.50 to $1.65 to mail it. Maybe less...
