Guys i installed a blazer poly tank under bed and hooked a marine filler up to it. I also drilled and tapped for a vent fitting on on the filler neck and have it hooked up to the tank but i still cant pump gas for more than 2 or 3 seconds whars going on wiyh this thing help!

I don't have a poly tank but on my steel tank I had to run a seperate vent and put a check valve on it so water could not enter the tank. I also have the one in the neck.

You need a vent from the sending unit.Ron a hose(even just coiled on top of the tank)with a check valve as suggested.

What would the check valve do guys? It seems like yhe other side of the tank would be vented because theres a port just no hose on it. It just seems like there is too much air in the tank and it cant escape. I put an 1/8 in fitti g for a vent on the filler neck and hooked it up to the tank

I put a 1/2 inch vent line in the custom tank I built for my K20 and it vents great. I have it to the corner opposite my fill point and connects to the filler neck (stock burb neck). 1/8 seems pretty small as you have a lot of liquid volume going in pushing air out quickly.

The vent lets air out as fuel goes in.The check valve keeps water from getting in when fuel is pulled from the tank.The other "slow fill" problem I have run into is if the filler hose/tube etc. is kinked or reduced in some way or maybe turns too sharp.

I got mine at a transmission shop. Since I have a 4x4 I also put one on the two differantels and the transmission

on my stepside i ended up having to run a vent way up in the driver's side fender to be able to give it gas. i have the poly tank. i also have the check valve on mine as well. until i ran the vent up there i had to put gas in real slow with the click, click, click method. good luck.

mine is the end you can get a motorcycle shop. it's the vent cap for the vent line off a four wheeler instead of running the long tube down. before that i had the check valve off of a rearend.
