Smile 72 C10 Gas Tank Question

I am relocating my fuel tank as most with these trucks do.
I located a K5 Blazer with the tank I need, I am just curious if anybody knows if the sending unit for the early model gas gauges will mount in the the 90 model K5 tank?

If anybody has any further information to share, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

I guess that nobody knows? It appears to be the same tank that Brothers sells. So I will chance it.

Doesnt matter, the tank is way to big, and will not fit between the frame.

Re: 72 C10 Gas Tank Question

I will ask it a diffent way. New to the board and am building a 72 SWB Fleetside and will be relocating the tank as well. Is there a preference between a Fuel Cell (aluminum tank) vs a early Blazer tank?

Money is the main factor aluminum tanks can get expensive. Guess it depends on how deep your pockets are

Re: 72 C10 Gas Tank Question

So this is what i have in mind.
I found this fuel cell at summitt that is the perfect size, and has the 90 ohm sender needed for the 70 model chevy systems.

My question now if anybody has experience with stock fuel pumps and fuel cells,
Will this setup work? Or does it have to be converted to an electric pump?

Here is the fuel cell http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-290108/

Notice it has 2 fuel outlets, i am sure you can just cap one of them, right?
