Cool Just another LS Vortec swap

Nothing new really to offer. Just thought I would post a link to my pics of the swap. Overall went good, Next one will be easy. Had a big learing curve as the information is way to spread out over the forums and not much local support. However looks good and seems to run great.

Majors top notch Howell harness and ECU program worked flawlessly. Used Holleys motor mount adapters, and thier brand new R4 AC brackets that look totaly factory.

Still working out some issues with the 2004r TV cable... Used Bowtie Overdrives cable is nice as is the butterfly adapter plate however the bracket to intake is a joke.

Someone still needs to come up with some nice Aircleaner options for these converstions.

Found lots of helpful hints and advice on this site...
Thanks for all your great knowlege on here.

Simple bag setup, airlift d2600 all around, 2 1/2 drop spindles in frt, 2" blocks in rear. Manual controls simple and dependable.

Holley site.. http://www.holley.com/types/LS%20Accessory%20Drives.asp

"They are new parts but are available. Part number 510-20-133 will retail for $120.99 while part number 510-21-3 will retail for $88.99." From Mike F. Jegs

Purchased threw Jegs CS

Mike was super helpful in getting me the parts direct from Holley. Jeg's nor Summit had them yet. Summit came back with the higher price and no followup. So Mike was all over it, he got the sale Great CS always pays off!

Re: Just another LS Vortec swap

Thanks for the info! Not bad pricing, too. Looks like you're using the truck accessories on the driver's side?

Yes didnt touch a thing on that side. some fine tuning on the belt and idler but know big deal there.

My highly refined drawing.

They make there brackets multi choice so you just decide which side and go from there on your parts...

Nice love them long and low. One question if that bracket is made for the r4 why all that grinding?

I think there are two compressors I believe one has the high pressure relief on the rear and one does not... Mine had and it ran into there casting. My guess typical they designed around the one without. A little relief and was good to go. Or they just plan screwedup on the casting... No big deal was a easy fix once I figured out where the interference was at.

The rest of it bolted up no problems, Nice hardware also.
