Re: Dual snorkel air breather

Go for it! I dont want to tie up his sale with my thoughts on fitment. Just wasnt sure if it would clear my HEI? Nice piece for the price...

What are those round pcs. for on the inlets?

Although, it would have been the last piece i needed for my corvette optioned jimmy lol

Yeah but, it has a vortec high rise manifold, accel HEI, the engine is in the back hole location, since it is a 4 WD and it just doesnt look like it will clear the bump in the firewall. Thats why i was asking questions, but its sold anyway so...

He thinks it came from a corvette, and before i blow a hundred bucks i just wanted to be sure

Re: Dual snorkel air breather

Jaros,

The round things on the snorkels are temp-controlled dashpots to divert air flow from the cold-air inlet to heat riser pipes from the exhaust manifolds. Once the engine warms up, the dashpots open and allow for cold air intake.
