seat won't move

i removed the seat from my 71, after putting it back in it won't slide. any ideas

Is it both sides that wwon't move or just the right side? Is the wire conected to the right side ? If so is it tight enough?

what wire are you talking about? i have no experience with the seats. i took the seat out to do some work on the truck, when i slid the seat in the garage a rod fell out, thought it was for seat support put seat back in and it wouldn't move. what should i do now?

that rod needs to be connected to both sides of the seat, that way both slides work together.....or take two people and move it where you want it and leave it there....you will see under the seat tracks where it goes....good luck...

There is a wire that connects the lever on the left side with a lever that ss under the seat on the right side if you look under the sear you will see an arm sticking out on both side they should be conected with a length of hardened wire if not pull the seat back out and flop it over.
