My Interior Work!
So I have a little collection of c10 work Ive done. Figured Id show off a little and just post some pictures for anyone looking for examples. Its slowly growing, so Ill keep adding to it.
This is no for sale ad, I have an ad in the marketplace for this stuff. Just strictly posting pictures. Anyone have any questions on how I fix dash pads or do any of the work let me know, Im always willing to give tips. That is nice. Of the many talents my dad had upholstery was the one he did the least..but was always one of the coolest.

Good work!
Is upholstery your profession or a hobby?

Re: My Interior Work!
Cool this thread popped up as I'm lookin' to replace my dash pad. I dig the french seam in the front. One of those subtle things that catches the eye, but still appears "stock".
Nice work! Gary

Re: My Interior Work!
I started doing this sort of stuff after working on my projects. Found out I was pretty good at it! So Im trying to turn this into a proffession.
I eventually want to do only high end custom interiors. Where some brings me an empty interior and I design and do everything from seats, Dash, console to panels, everything. Mostly for street rods and hot rods. Work like this. http://i1259.photobucket.com/albums/...t/IMG_1420.jpg These were completely made from scrarch. And this is what I eventually want to do. Funny thing is Im not really a fan of doing only regular upholstery, not fun for me. But doing the fabricating, designing, or restoring the older cars keeps me interested in it. If you check out my photobucket link I have some more of my work. |

Re: My Interior Work!
What kinda machine do you use? Ive been considering getting into this but the capital cost has been keeping me out. I was looking at a Juki walking foot deal but never did find one in my price range.
Great looking work!

I probably have around $700 into that, motor and table I built. As far as capital cost I havent dumped a ton into equipment. The hardest part has been time. Started all this 4 months ago. I basically eat, sleep and breathe this stuff trying to learn and get better. You can buy thousands in tools and materials, but they wont do anything until you sit down and use them. Start out slow or youll go broke. Just focusing on quality and setting my work apart from others. Thats pretty much what I try to go by. Hopefully it will pay off! |

Re: My Interior Work!
I dont really want to post links to the marketplace on here. But click on my profile name, go to statistics, and all threads started by me. Youll find them there.
Or just search for seat belts, dash pads, visors, door panels. One should pop up. If you cant find it pm me. |
