"Barn" Find

Well actually it was a metal building, but you get the idea.

I bumped into a guy last night that told me he had a truck he was wanting to sell, I told him I was already building a '67 but would love to look his truck over. He sent me to his shop and I took some pics, gotta say I was suprised by the condition, especially by the near total lack of rust.

I have to admit it got my gears turning...maybe a '72 would be nice to have around.

Sweet find! Did you buy it?

How come everytime someone comes up to me like that, it is either a wrong year truck or a piece of crap?

Lol, I know what you mean... someone tells you they know where a nice '68 is for sale. You drive out and find a 1978 Ford with the bed rusted off.

Nope, did not buy it... just took the pics this morning. As a matter of fact I did not even ask him what he was asking for it.

What do you guys think it is worth?

Re: "Barn" Find

That is a nice truck and not that far from me. Find out what he wants for it. That truck is also the same color of one that I'm trying to go look at except it doesn't have the white middle section and it's a BB truck.

Re: "Barn" Find

That is a nice truck and does seem a tab high. Just curious what that would be worth. Thanks

I am curious myself what most peoples opinion would be on its worth...my guess (and it would be a guess) is somewhere around 8,000.

Re: "Barn" Find

Up here it wouldn't last long at that price! But original shortboxes are really hard to find around here. That's why I'm building my own. It does seem a little high for a stateside truck though. I would think more along the lines of $10,000?
