How diffrent are these in these parts i have not taken apart a van so havent seen it my self

but i need a new wiring harness for the c30 diesel but its hard to finde any 81-91 trucks around here. but the G-vans are on every corner more or less and especialy in the diesel powered, so i though if i can get a good wiring harness from one of these?

I've never really compared a C/K truck engine harness to a G van harness myself either. But from what I can tell just by looking at the wiring diagrams in the factory service manual, there are some differences.

The most obvious is the bulkhead connector where the wiring plugs in at the firewall behind the fuse box. The connector layout is slightly different and the pinout is significantly different. Also the G van has the wires for the glow plug & water in fuel indicator lights running through the bulkhead connector. While the C/K trucks have those wires on a separate plug/grommet going through the firewall.

I would also think a big factor would be the length of the wires.

everything some of the fuse holders are melted, alot of the wires under the dash are hacked and the engine bay is just a bad mess

i have tryed my best to fix it but its just too far gone.

I would post a wanted ad. There should be some of the guys on here that have parted out diesels. I know of a couple at the wrecking yard.
