Hello my name is Ben, i am from Melbourne Down under (Australia). I am looking at buying original 1967 Chevrolet C20 fleetside (come from San Bernardino California). I wanting to know if there is anything i need to look at on the truck which are know problems for that truck.

Welcome! Ben!! To start you off,there are some key areas to look for rust.They are
1.Rockers (nearly all have rust)
2.Cab corners
3.roofline above the windsheild and along the drip rails.
4.floors
5,cab mounts(under the cab,there are 2 front and 2 rear)
6.Cowl area around the winshield wiper motor,heater A/C box,lower rear of front fenders
7.around wheel wells and in floor of bed
8 under battery
9 Trailing arms and suspension parts.
Next
1. a thourough check of the wiring harness
2.all hard parts(I say this because of your location,engine,suspension,and driveline parts are not such an issue in the US but will be expensive to have shipped "Down Under").
Hopefully some of our other members will chime in with more help for you.

thanks guys, the c20 is here in Australia only the only rust i could spot was on the driverside firewall. From the Vin number it was made in fremont california and was imported from California. What sort of wiring issues should i expect?

The main wiring issues come from "Bubba's" that hack wiring to install stereos or trailer hitches. Other than that, not much goes wrong.

I think I should add that tho anything is fixable,you are down under and the heavy parts will cost big$$$ to ship.
The other thing I suggest about the wiring is that you check to see if the insulation is still pliable since it can age and crack causing electrical problems.New harnesses are available but are labor intensive to install.

theres no salt in san bernadino and I dont think its ever snowed in the history of australia

so doubt that truck has seen much salt. Might get lucky on the rust.

from what have been told it has be in california it's whole life. C20 come standard with 8 lug wheels? what do the original wheels look like any pics?

C20's had 8-lug wheels. Early Classic Enterprises (www.earlyclassic.com) has done conversions on the C20's to use 5-lug (C-10) wheels. You might want to check them out, unless your intent is to use like it was intended. One reason some did the conversion, is to have disc brakes up front.

As for wiring issues, the latest of the '67-72's is now 40-years old. With that said, it's anyones' guess as to what might be a problem. But, connectors that plug in, and ground points on the cab and chassis, are prone to deterioration over time. Fuse receptacles may show some evidence of overheating, if a circuit was prone to do that. Battery cables can build up corrosion within the outside covering and no be visible otherwist. The wiring that comes from the battery, to the terminal on the right side inner fender, and then is routed across the top of the radiator to the alternator...carries a good load, so make sure it is in good condition.
