Stereo stays on for 5 sec.
when i press the on button it lights up for 5 secounds then shuts off. when i got the truck the po had it hooked up with key on only i found a constant hot & now it only stays on for 5 secounds changed it back & also tried other terminals i found a site for manuals http://www.manualsonline.com/ butdidnt have one for mine its a JVC KD-S88BT any suggestions? ty

Have you tried bench testing it out of the truck with a battery and see if you get the same result?

I just got that same stereo and it did the same thing without the key in but with it in it works.

you have two wires. one is the constant hot wire that has to be hooked your constant power and the other one has to be hook your key so it only works when you turn the key on.

Usually, yellow runs to key, which I ran mine to the fuse box, and red is battery.
