Rear Vinyl Panel Chrome Channels

All,

I have searched the forums to no avail (might be that I'm bad at searching and just didn't see it). I have a couple of questions. While I was attempting to clean up a few odds and ends off my Blazer today, I began to work on the chrome channels that run along the tops of the vinyl panels along the back of the truck. These things were rusted out basically beyond repair.

My questions are:

1. Did Suburbans come with any parts like these? Trying to decide if I could expand my search.

2. Does anyone make reproductions of these things?

3. Can you take this type of item to a shop and have it rechromed somehow?

Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to offer to a new Blazer enthusiast!

Jake

P.S.- Also, where does a guy scrounge up one of those chrome carpet hold-down things that run behind the front seats?

I believe this is what you are looking for. Teeitup had some for sale in the past. I have also seen where some one used two earlier model chrome door panel holders and just cut them to fit. the only problem is it will not be a single piece. I believe they make these new though.

well no pic, let me find it again and ill post it...

the next one you will see in the picture is a door panel holder. I have seen others just cut down two of these and make one full (not connected) side

PD1292, that's exactly what I'm looking for, looks like that guy already sold his though. I'll just have to keep my eyes open or try to hunt down a repro set.

Thanks for the help!
