15x8 offset for 275/60r15 ?
I'm thinking of getting 15x6 and 15x8 OEM 6 lug wheels made by The Wheelsmith. So I can run dog dish caps and will work with disk brakes/drop spindles.
http://www.thewheelsmith.net/CustomW...cessories.html My question is any of you running a 15x8 wheel with a 275/60r15 with a 5 or 6 rear drop? What offset you running? will I need to widen the stock rear wheel tub? Thanks guys |

Re: 15x8 offset for 275/60r15 ?
I have a set of 275/55R17 on 17X8 with 4.5 inch back spacing and a 5 inch drop in the rear of my step side. They are a little bit taller than 275/60R15 and they fit after I rolled the lip of the fender. When I had 275/60R15 with 15X7 with a 4 inch drop they fit fine with a 4 inch backspace. I know that is not exactly what you asked for but I hope it helps.

Re: 15x8 offset for 275/60r15 ?
Thanks forestb help is appreciated
I decided not to order my wheels from The Wheelsmith. They quoted me 425 shipped for 15x6 and 15x8 OE wheels that will except the dog dish hubcaps. I think they don't have the slots so they are like a mix of a OE wheel and a smoothie. Reason I decided not to order from them is there is this great place here local in Fresno called Ralley America that I have ordered smoothie wheels from before. They make wheels with custom offsets. I gave them a call and asked if they could widen my stock rear wheels for me. He told me yes he would put my original wheel centers in new 8" outers with whatever offset i wish. Then I asked if he had some used later model 15x6 wheels I could buy so I can run disk brakes in front. He told me he doesnt have any but he could put new outers on my original 15x6 wheels and they will then clear disk brakes. COOL! I didnt know that was a option! Quoted me 300 bucks to widen my rear wheels to 8" and but new 6" outers on my fronts. Both with whatever offsets i want. |

The Wheelsmith quoted me 425 for the wheels they offer shipped to my door I'll call stockton wheel and see what they say. I have heard alot of bad things about them but they are under new ownership now because the old owner commited suicide last year in April I think. Maybe things have changed |

Re: 15x8 offset for 275/60r15 ?
Diamond Racing Wheels makes custom width, offset, and pattern wheels. They are actually a circle track type racing supplier but they offer a few different wheel styles, although not really OE, their styles are conservative and look like a stock "steelie" for most cars they are on. If you start to go wider than 8-10" with a wheel, they are one of the few places that still do it, and wheel prices can be under $80each for some styles.

Re: 15x8 offset for 275/60r15 ?
I have 275/60/15 on regular old 15*8 rallys and it fits nice whatever the offset is.
