Guys with LSX motors

Where are tou mounting the PCM. I want to mount it under the hood but I was told if it gets wet it will damage it. I thought of mounting it under the seat but my harness is not long enough.

Thanks

Re: Guys with LSX motors

I've got mine installed along the radiator support on the driver side.

Remember, they were originally under the hood in the first place. If you look at the pcm/ecm carefully, you will see rubber seals where the harness connector attaches and rubber plugs that the wires go through to the connectors.

If you take your harness wires out of the looms and reroute them they might reach into the cab... but then again, you could solder on some longer wires for some of the shorter ones.

Mines on the pass side inner fender. Close to where it would have been in the SS Camaro it came out of. Here are a couple pics. I just had the inner fenders powder coated along with a bunch of other parts. Shes almost road ready!

Re: Guys with LSX motors

Since I have bucket seats and a center console I placed mine insides the glove compartment. It's hidden and keeps the engine bay clean.

Re: Guys with LSX motors

my harness was long enough to go through the firewall and into the glovebox area...

cleans up the under hood area nicely with it out of sight.

Re: Guys with LSX motors

Mine is under the left front fender, completely out of sight and the truck harness didn't have to be lengthened at all.
