where to find 1/2" temp switch or adapter

I did the jeep fan upgrade. Problem is, now I am looking for a temp switch to thread into my head. Currently there is a 1/2" npt plug in the head, but all the temps switches I find online are 3/8", or 1/8" with a 3/8" adapter. Where can I find a 1/2 temp switch?

All you need is a reducer bushing. Should be able to get a bushing and the temp. switch/sensor at NAPA.

any autoparts store hardware store or home improvement store has those type fittings readily available

spend a rainy day in those store lookin in the hardware bins and get familar with readily available local stuff and after a few years you can save yourself hundreds of dollars in useless shipping charges that you spend on dot com

Re: where to find 1/2" temp switch or adapter

Here's some part #s for the fan switches. I've had really bad luck with Jet and Hypertech. Finally found the sweet spot 180 t-stat 180 fan switch from Hypertech. It lasted less than a year befor the fan switch went bad. Ordered a new one. It would turn on but not off. I am using the SW-505 from AutoZone and the 180 Hypertech t-stat. It comes on a little later than I would like but at least it shuts off. Plus it was only $9.00. I'm going to try a stock 195 t-stat when when I feel like "playing" with it again.

AutoZone DuraLast fan switch part numbers

SW555- 204° on $31.99
SW505- 213° on $8.99
SW500- 224° on $8.99
SW502- 229° on $5.99

Advance Auto Parts GP Sorensen 3/8"-18 NPT.

# FS6 - Closes at 204*-220* F- Retail $21.59
# FS4 - Closes at 211*-227* F- Retail $8.69
# FS1 - Closes at 222*-238* F- Retail $9.49
# FS3 - Closes at 240*-252* F-

GP Sorsen tend to close very near the beginning of the advertised range. (Not my quote) (I found this on 3rd Gen.org) (F-body)
