took my '80 2wd swb to Precision Restoration Parts Warehouse for install today!
today i made the 3 hour tour to Precision Restoration Parts to meet up with Jeff, to drop it off for a little while so they can film the weatherstrip install for their youtube channel. they are going to go through the entire door as i understand, window channels, weatherstrips, seals and vent window assemblies... end result.... we all get great how to videos to use in aiding our install of PRP weather strip kits. which by the way appear to be very high quality, and very affordable with an entire kit for a reg cab including windsheild and rear window for a very affordable very competitive price.
although my understanding is that they are relatively new to resto parts they have a massive catalog of parts for newer vehicles under their parent company. sorry if this seems like a comercial but its just my un paid observation, plus they are a supporting vender. and jeff and they guys there are more than helpful, and more than hospitable. thanks jeff for the opportunity to be a part of this install video, im very excited. also a little birdie may or may not have told me that they are considering a venture to supply more in depth interior parts. i think if they can pull off the rest of the interior as well as the seals and strips im pretty excited...whats your opinions on it? ill be sure to post finshed pics and a link to the video when its available. maybe theyll debut it on here for us. last thing... heres a link to their site. http://precisionrestorationparts.com/ |

DOOR SEAL VIDEO IS UP! its pretty straight forward but has some good tips that the person who installed my seals last could have really used ( really common mistake of cutting the seal too short.

thanks just rallies with rings centers and knock-offs. btw working on lowing the front, it must have big block springs in it, but im more worried about getting the t56 in my 86 than lowing the front of a perfectly good 80 with a stroker lol, just looks like im either always launching or im mysteriously driving around with no motor or trans lol

It's a clone. LOL cowl seal looks great. One of those often overlooked details. The old one was obviously ready to retire. As pointed out by filthy air cleaner cap. Looked great Jeff can't wait to see It in person.
