Serpentine system with BB shroud

I have a 90's 350 with the serpentine belt system and the long reverse water pump and a 5-blade clutch fan in my 71. Engine cooling performance is fine without a shroud (just using the 6 cylinder fan guard). However, I wanted to try a shroud to see if it helps the AC system perfomance at low speed and have both small and big block shrouds available.

I've looked through a bunch of old threads and have seen several pictures of serpentine systems and a BB shroud with the fan completely inside the shroud (not half in/out). When it's all mounted, the engine side edge of the fan is about even with the engine side edge of the shroud. Is anyone running a configuration like this without any issues or without the fan cavitating?

Thanks, Don
