Re: WTB comfort grip style steering wheel.

If you want the red to match look at the repop 63-64 Corvette ones....one on eBay its the right red and not as dark as the others

Re: WTB comfort grip style steering wheel.

I actually would prefer black but red is ok as well. Hoping to find one slightly used at a better price. Maybe someone is not happy with and wants to get rid of it?

Re: WTB comfort grip style steering wheel.

How about this? I just installed one on my 72 GMC. Simple install. The one you want are the same ones that fit 67-68 Camaros.

Re: WTB comfort grip style steering wheel.

Shawn - I can get you a new black one with hub, button and all for $210 shipped. It's a nice Re-pro. The same one on my GMC.

I know where a blue one is, but the problem with the originals is most of them are sticky or slick. Quite honestly, I'd get a new one before spending $150 on an original one. Especially since you're ok with a black one.

Re: WTB comfort grip style steering wheel.

the one on my truck is for a 69 Camaro, but the one you want is for 67-68. In 69, they moved the key up to the column so the diameter is just a touch bigger than 67-68. The earlier hub is the same diameter as our trucks. Look closely at mine and you'll see the hub is slightly larger.

I think I will be ok with that cause I am going to install a van tilt and I think those are the wider style, right?

Ok honest opinion, what do you guys think of this wheel? I need honesty cause I really want the comfort grip but this one is a really fair price.

Re: WTB comfort grip style steering wheel.

Here's my thinking. If I drive my truck, the first thing I see, touch and 'control' is the steering wheel.

Kinda like a woman with hairly legs. Do you really want to touch?

(I'd do the comfort grip, just me ..)

Re: WTB comfort grip style steering wheel.

I will keep my eagle eyes out for one, Shawno. You need the comfort grip. It just looks more "factory", plus it has a great feel when you are driving.
