I finally got a nice rear Sport Bumper.

I hit on another good deal from my buddy. I wanted to buy the bumper from him but he only was interested in selling the truck as a whole. I found a buyer for the truck and got me a nice sport bumper with all the extras.
I have it all torn down ready to prep and paint now.

Re: I finally got a nice rear Sport Bumper.

The bumper also came with a light wieght tow bar package that was over worked. I am going to straighten it, beef it up and add a reciever hitch.

Re: I finally got a nice rear Sport Bumper.

the old bumper cleanup so good it looks like chrome!! It had a layer of what appeared to be ARMY green? or was it green primer? I was wondering did this truck serve time in the ARMY? May explain the nice body it had.

Re: I finally got a nice rear Sport Bumper.

Its just old joke between Andy and me. They were never actually called Sport bumpers back then, although 95% of people call them that. Sport bumper a term that came along later, and it kinda bugs LHM. They were really just the standard bumper and the step bumper was the optional bumper (imagine that!)

He's scared of Sport Bumpers! He thinks they are conspiring to eliminate the production of Mountain Dew!

Think that might work?

Re: I finally got a nice rear Sport Bumper.

But all Custom Sport Trucks (CST's) had Sport bumpers right?

Sorry... couldn't help it!
