1985 3500 dually ???
Hi guys , I'am looking at getting a 85 RC silverado dually, Its loaded with all options for this year, 120,000 kms on the 454 400th, new tires, new exhaust tune up and brakes, runs like a new one. truck is from BC so its very clean 90% originial paint. one small crack in the passanger rear fender. it has the 5th wheel hitch in bach along with a regualar hitch out back. it also has a spray in bed liner. the inteior looks like new except the head liner is drooping a bit. the dual tanks both work.
So my question is how rare is this truck ???? and do you think is worth 5000 can.and is there any thing i should be look for ??? please reply as I'am going to look at the truck in am. |

Re: 1985 3500 dually ???
Sounds good so far. Given your location, rust may be a concern. Forgive me, I'm to lazy to look up the current exchange rate. You may also look up the NADA book value to give you a rough idea.

Re: 1985 3500 dually ???
Pictures would definitely help, just out of curiosity what color is it? 120km is basically 75 miles right. Sound like it is the truck to have if you are looking for a truck like that. 5k might be steep but you could never come close to building anything like it for twice that. In these cases (as well as most cases) I go look at the vehicle looking for a reason not to buy it and if I don't find one I make a low ball offer and see what happens. Worse thing they can do is say no, they cant take your birthday away.

That sounds about right, BC vehicles are clean from my past experiences.
I sold my 90 crew 4x4 dually for about that a few years ago.

Re: 1985 3500 dually ???
I think that converts to be $4854 USD.
I paid a price of $4750 for my 1985 K30 SRW. I know this was a little high, but it was EXACTLY the truck i was looking for, so the extra money up front saved me money and time after the sale making the truck the way i wanted it. Also considering it was a Rust-Free Texas truck with only 93000 original miles i feel it was a fair price. 1985 K30 SRW, 6.2 Diesel, SM465 Transmission, NP205 Transfer Case. I would say if you look at the truck and it is also EXACTLY what you are looking for then the price would be fair.

Re: 1985 3500 dually ???
Well I picked up the truck, this truck is mint. It is an all Originial Califorina truck with all the options of a silverado, interior is mint . the engine bay looks like new, The odomitor shows 35,000 miles, might be true but mostly 135000 miles,
Very stoked about this one as we just don't get trucks in this kind of shape up here in nova scotia, The only thing wrong with the truck is the power door locks don't work. anyway guys thanks for the input. and yes i'll post pictures when i can. |

Re: 1985 3500 dually ???
Thanks Chris
for posting the picyures for me. I just got your handle, Chief engineer. I am also in the marine field, but have switched over to Oil rigs. I am presently 180 miles off RIO Brazil. My plans for the truck is to keep pretty much as you see it. I will be detailing the engine bay but thats it. just needed a good old truck to tow my toys around. I found the truck on line and had my brother go pick it up. thanks frank |
