I just realized I didn't have a build thread on any of the trucks I was building.
Here goes..........

Re: Mark's 66 GMC
Working on the chassis. I scored a 83 C10 for a $100. Jacked the disc brakes, power steering for the 66 and a few trim pieces and a vent window for the dually. Thanks for stealing my radio losers..................

More progress. Off to Blast Technology. Came back alot worse than expected. Started epoxy priming all the parts.

60-66 is MY favorite body style ever but boy do these thing rust....lots & lots of patience and time..... If I remember correctly te media was a mix of glass beads, walnut shells, and baking soda. Jim Davis / Blast Technolgies is a genius when it comes to blasting a car but he's spendy. The truck was highly optioned. Big Back glass, fleetside, 6cyl w/ powerglide.

Re: Mark's 66 GMC
Just keep after it. The internet makes everything look faster than what it is, I've been working on this truck for 2 1/2 years. It took me almost a year to get the customer and a body shop together.

Damn, that looks sweet. Heck of a feeling when you get to see it in color.

Re: Mark's 66 GMC
I picked up the cab and the doors from the body shop today. Brandon & Andrew sprayed some bed liner in the cab. Its from Smart. It turned out super sweet..

Re: Mark's 66 GMC
I undercoated the cab and got it back on the chassis. It is amazing how much space 1 truck can take up when its in a million pieces.

Re: Mark's 66 GMC
A million pieces is right. Thank Goodness someone invented those "BAPT'S" (Big A**Plastic tubs). When the truck is finished you'll be surprised just how much room you'll have. everytime I put anoth few parts on I can re-organize and move things and empty a =nother tub. Of course this give the wife and kids more space for their stuff.

Re: Mark's 66 GMC
Sorry guys for no updates. The guy who owns the truck has put the brakes on the project for now due to lack of funds. Maybe one day it will get finished.

Re: Mark's 66 GMC
This is the first time I’ve seen this build thread. Very impressive fabrication and welding skills. I admire those abilities which I sadly lack. It’s a beautiful truck, too bad it has to be put on hold. Thanks for the update.
