Nice man! What did you use on the frame? I'm just painting mine with a few coats of paint, and then I'm using the por15 rubber undercoat for the bottom side of the bed.

POR15 on both frame and bed underside. Its not really a rubber like coating,it leaves a very hard epoxy like finish. There is no uv in it so keep it in mind if you use it in exposed areas.Double up on the gloves,we probaly got it on us just by talking about it.

Do you guys think 2 coats of paint and 2 coats of clear will hold up on the frame and suspension?

I use 3M "Body Schutz" on the underside of everything. It is easy to spray and looks great... http://3mcollision.com/products/soun...ing-08964.html http://3mcollision.com/products/soun...lack-8864.html LockDoc

Re: Undercoating the bottom of the entire bed.
Looking good.
I used a bed liner coating for the underside of my bed. The rational is that it would give it long lasting durable finish. I did the same on the cab floor inside and out, and the firewall inside and out. Again, stabilize the metal and hopefully provide some sound proofing. |
