Factory Window Felts??

Replaced Window Motors and felts, windows sluggish and stick. Someone said, but I cannot find that the aftermarket felts are "universal" and do not accord for the thicker glass in 81 and up trucks. Is this reality or myth, and are factory felts still available at the dealer?

I work for a GM dealer and yes they are still available. Be prepared to pay a premium for them though.

My bad I am using the wrong term, not the inner and outers that mount to the door panel, the felt channel on the back edge of vent glass

Like the run channel? Goes around the window completely?

Re: Factory Window Felts??

I bought a window felt set from LMC for my 81. There's a different listing for 73-80 and 81-87, which i'm presuming is for the glass thickness difference. They too were sluggish. I replaced the motors and lubed the hell out of them with spray silicone and they run great now.
Have you tried the silicone spray?
Did you buy a "universal" kit?
