I don't think that you need to move your headlights back at all, you just replace your inner grille with the phantom one, you can get that grill from some of the vendors in this great site, they can tell you how to install it too, they own trucks of our vintage.

Guys, thank you for all the help. I'm trying to gather parts needed to twin turbo my truck. I need a little more room for this intercooler I got. I think this might help.

Better check the laws if it is a street truck. In pa you can't run the bars over your lights.

Excellent suggestion. Anyone know off hand what the laws are concerning this in the Las Vegas area?

I don't think they have any about the way you drive here, just how you keep your vehicle. This is the first state I have been to that I have had to emission test my 69.

I know that the Carriageworks phantom billet requires extensive modifications to get it in our trucks. They have a note that says:EXTENSIVE FABRCTION REQ'D beside each one they carry.

You DO need to recess your headlights. I did this mod on my truck and they are right, EXTENSIVE MODIFICATIONS. But in the end its sweeeeet.

Trenz also makes that grill in a model that replaces the stock grill, much better looking in my opinion, and you can get it with or without a bowtie emblem in the center.

I can get the Trenz and Carriageworks brands in a brushed, polished and black versions. They are not online since they are a special order item.
